ORNIMIX CLONE (B1+H120)

ORNIMIX CLONE (B1+H120)

Live attenuated freeze-dried divalent vaccine against Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis

Description

ornimix clone

ORNIMIX® CLONE B1 + H120

Live Attenuated Bivalent Cloned Vaccine Against Newcastle Disease and Infectious Bronchitis

ORNIMIX® is a live attenuated bivalent cloned vaccine containing the B1 strain of Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and the H120 strain of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). Following administration, the vaccine viruses replicate specifically and locally in the target tissues¹, inducing an adequate systemic immune response with minimal post-vaccination reactions. Due to the cloning process, the vaccine remains at an apathogenic level, providing primary protection from one day of age¹.

Safety studies have demonstrated that the vaccine viruses are safe for the target species, do not increase virulence, and do not induce clinical signs of disease².

Maternal antibodies have been shown to not adversely affect the efficacy of vaccination³.

ORNIMIX stimulates specific immunity via the lymphoid system against Newcastle disease virus and infectious bronchitis virus strains that are serologically identical or closely related to the Massachusetts type⁴.

Replication in the respiratory and gastrointestinal systems¹

Minimal post-vaccination reactions²

Genetic stability due to cloning, preventing reversion to virulence³

Induction of both specific systemic and local immunity

Maternal antibodies do not negatively affect vaccination efficacy¹

Vaccine Composition

This vaccine contains live attenuated cloned viruses in lyophilized form:

  • Newcastle disease virus (NDV), cloned BIO52 – B1 strain
    Min. 10⁶․⁰ EID₅₀ – Max. 10⁷․⁵ EID₅₀
  • Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), cloned BIO53 – H120 strain
    Min. 10³․⁰ EID₅₀ – Max. 10⁴․⁸ EID₅₀

(EID₅₀: 50% embryonated egg infective dose)

Indications

Bivalent vaccine for the prevention of Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis, providing active immunization in healthy chicks and adult poultry.

Target species:

Broilers, breeders and commercial layers

Dosage & Methods of Administration

Spray Method

Use distilled water or clean, cold water free from chlorine and iron residues.
For vaccination, use a spray nozzle producing droplets of 30–100 μm.

  • Day-old chicks:
Dissolve 1,000 doses in 200–250 mL of water.
Adjust the nozzle to produce a coarse spray.
  • Older birds:
Dissolve 1,000 doses in 1 liter of water.
Adjust the nozzle to produce fine droplets (mist-like).

Spray the vaccine solution uniformly from a distance of 30–50 cm above the birds’ heads under low-light conditions.

Eye-drop / Nasal Administration

Reconstitute the lyophilized vaccine in sterile diluent (distilled water).
Using a standard dropper, instill one drop into the eye or nostril of each bird, ensuring that each bird receives the full dose.

Drinking Water Administration

Dissolve the vaccine in clean, cool drinking water free from disinfectants.
The volume of water depends on the age of the birds.
Viral activity may be enhanced by adding 50 mL of skimmed milk or 2 g of milk powder per liter of vaccination solution.

Contraindications

Do not vaccinate clinically diseased or stressed birds.

Withdrawal Period

None.

Storage Conditions

Store and transport at 2–8 °C, protected from light.
